If you are looking for some fun creative ways to bring the Festive Season into your group workouts or PE sessions, then try out these easy and effective holiday Christmas-themed ideas.
12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS
This Workout is like the "gift that keeps on giving". To complete, simply keep adding on one exercises each round beginning with:
1 x Shuttle Run
Next round, would then have two exercises to complete
1 x Shuttle Run
2 x Burpees
Each round, you go back to the top of the list and add one more exercise on as you go. To make it even more fun you could get everyone to give you a High Five, and don't make it easy for them 😝
STICKY NOTE CHRISTMAS TREE
This one takes a little bit of preparation, but it's well worth it. You'll need to write your exercises on the back of the Sticky notes and then use a wall or whiteboard to lay them out like a big Xmas Tree.
To complete the workout, individuals or teams take a sticky note off the tree, and must complete that exercises before going back to get another "leaf".
You can write more than one exercise on the back of each note if you want to make it a little bit harder or have trick notes that force all players to place one leaf back on the tree.
The game is done once the tree has been completely removed.
PASS THE PRESENT
Enjoy the nostalgia of your childhood "pass the parcel" game, except this time you DON'T want it to land on you.
Simply fill up a present box with lots of different exercises and have all players pass the present around. When the music stops, the person holding the present must lucky dip from the box and complete the task.
This game has so many different variations you can add on; try plank passing, wall sit passing, or an exercises that must be completed after you pass the present along.
