Are you thinking about joining a bootcamp but feeling nervous about taking the leap? Let me share my journey with you to prove it's never too late to start and that the rewards can be life-changing.
A few years ago, my sister invited me to join a local Bootcamp with her and a friend. I was initially nervous about joining and had thoughts like "What if I can't keep up with the others?" or "What if I'm the one who slows everyone down?". However, I decided to give it a shot and just signed up.
On my first day, I was still feeling nervous, but the head coach, Alexandra, was incredibly supportive and welcoming. As I attended more sessions, I began to love the environment and the way I felt after each workout. I started to attend 3 sessions a week and carefully planned which classes to go to. When I couldn't make it, I would check the Instagram story and feel FOMO (Fear of Missing Out).
As I continued to attend bootcamp, I made friends with the other members, and we would have monthly excursions, checkpoints, fitness testing, and even Saturday coffee meetups after bootcamp. It wasn't just about the exercise anymore; it was about the community of people who were all trying to be their best selves and supporting each other.
Fast forward a few years, and Alexandra asked me if I was interested in becoming a trainer and opening my own bootcamp. It was not something I had ever considered, but I believed in the brand and the process, so I went for it. I enrolled in an online course and completed my Certificate III & IV in Fitness. In October 2019, I opened TWBC Knox, and I've had the privilege of training some incredible women ever since.
As a trainer, I love seeing my clients achieve their fitness and health goals. It's incredibly fulfilling to see them make progress and achieve the small wins that lead to lasting changes. Having gone through my own transformative journey through bootcamp, I understand the challenges and rewards firsthand. Now, as a trainer, I am not only proud of my team but also excited to help them accomplish and unlock things they didn't know were possible
So if you're on the fence about joining a bootcamp, TRUST ME, I understand how you feel. But you can do this. There's no 'right time' to get started on your fitness journey — just get started. At times, you will be pushed outside your comfort zone, but the rewards will be worth it. Believe in yourself and trust the process. I'm here to support you as your trainer and our fellow members will also cheer you on while you achieve your goals.
