Things we HATE about Fitness Challenges

Here at Bootcamp Co, we believe in the power of fitness challenges to inspire and motivate individuals on their health journey. However, not all challenges are created equal, and there are certain aspects that we dislike about some common approaches. Let's get into these points, and explore how we do things differently to ensure a positive and sustainable fitness experience for our members.

Bootcamp Community

Taking Measurements Before and After

We dislike the practice of solely focusing on the scale when measuring progress. Instead, we encourage our clients to focus on various indicators of progress, such as strength, endurance, and overall well-being, as fitness goes beyond just numbers on a scale. By adopting a holistic approach to tracking progress, we empower our clients to celebrate their achievements beyond just weight loss.

Deadlift Exercise

Leads to Burnout

We dislike fitness challenges that promote overtraining and burnout. It's common for individuals to push themselves too hard, leading to injuries, fatigue, and ultimately, a negative relationship with exercise. At Bootcamp Co, we prioritise balanced and sustainable fitness habits. Our programs are designed to challenge you while also ensuring adequate rest and recovery. We encourage listening to your body and finding a rhythm that works for you in the long term.

One-Size-Fits-All Approach

We dislike fitness challenges that impose a one-size-fits-all approach, like the same meal plan for everyone. At Bootcamp Co, we understand that each individual has unique nutritional needs and preferences. That's why we collaborate with a Dietician to help educate our members, to then customise a nutrition plan that's catered to personal preferences.

Negative Competition

Fitness challenges that focus solely on who has lost the most weight, can create a sense of negative competition. Instead, we believe in celebrating individual progress and supporting each other as a community. Our challenges are designed to encourage collaboration, camaraderie, and positive reinforcement. We celebrate all victories, big or small, and believe that every step forward is worth celebrating.

While there are aspects of traditional fitness challenges that we HATE, at Bootcamp Co, we strive to do things differently. We prioritise holistic progress, balanced training, personalised nutrition, and a supportive community atmosphere. Our goal is to empower you to achieve your fitness goals in a sustainable and enjoyable way.
